Space Segment Guidance

“Emergency shutoff” for space assets typically means command or mode-based inhibition rather than a physical cutoff. Consider how safe-mode logic restricts activity automatically and how operators can disable or narrow subsystems through controlled commanding without risking lockout. On the ground, plan for RF transmitter inhibits, rack-level power controls, and facility-level cutovers, ensuring actions are authenticated, logged, and reversible where safety allows, with clear telemetry/indications so operators can verify the resultant state.
