Space Segment Guidance

Cryptographic protection should cover data at rest, in transit, and during update/activation. Consider secure boot/verification for flight images and bitstreams, encryption/authentication for TT&C and sensitive payload data, and integrity checks for configuration tables. Algorithm agility and dual-bank (or staged) activation help manage defects discovered post-launch, with telemetry attesting to the active image, key set, and any fallback.
