Space Segment Guidance

Mission-essential functions should be explicitly identified along with how they continue under constraints: power/thermal management, attitude control, timekeeping, orbit determination and maintenance, conjunction response, and minimal communications. Consider the vehicle’s graceful-degradation path (load shedding, narrowed command sets), which ground processes are needed to sustain those functions, and where temporary risk acceptances (e.g., reduced data return) are tolerable. Clarify what evidence must still be recorded when logging is impaired so post-event reconstruction remains possible.
